Smartvest Wealth Managers (Private) Limited was established in 1996 as a wholly owned subsidiary of AfrAsia Bank Zimbabwe Limited (ABZL), now in liquidation.
Through a successful Scheme of Arrangement sanctioned by the High Court of Zimbabwe under case number HC 7823/15 in October 2015, shareholding transitioned to investee creditors and staff. Smartvest is today totally decoupled from ABZL as an independent market leader.
